corey & kailene :Mission Santa Ines:

I recently was able to drive up to Solvang to assist my sister Linda shoot the wedding of Corey & Kailene, The ceremony was held at the beautiful & historic Mission Santa Ines. Their reception was held at the Brander Vineyard. I was lucky enough to be able to shoot along side my sister, which was so awesome. I had so much fun. Being a wedding photographer is not as glamourous as it looks. It is fastpaced & stressful. Her camera bags are so heavy, it feels like they weighs 100 pounds and you have to be aware of every detail, to get the perfect shot. Overall, it's worth it to be able to share in one of the most important days in someone's life. If you click on her site you will see her images are freakin amazing. Hopefully, I can work myself up to that level someday. In the meantime enjoy the images I took on my blog:)

Happy Summer Friends & Familia

Hello Everybody~ Just wanted to say have a happy summer! This mermaid sign greets my visitors. I made it with some wood I found behind my friends store. Trever calls me a junk collector. I call myself an Eco -Artist. I saved that piece of wood from going into a landfill. Now it's a painting of a shimmery mermaid. I remember when I was a kid I couldn't wait for summer so that I could stay home & do whatever I wanted. I used to draw a lot. Drive my grandma crazy because I was bored. Sometimes we would go to the library. That was always so exciting. I used to think of ideas for making and illustrating my own books. Maybe someday I will . This summer I hope I get a chance to paint a little. I love to paint and glitter. True likes to color when we go to restaurants now. He never wants to share his crayons. Can you believe he might take after his Mama. If any of my friends want to come over send me a message and we can organize a craft night at my house, if you don't mind a silly one year old running around stealing my art supplies!

True's Froggy Hat

I love this little hat. True's Tia, Lala of Linda Chaja Photography bought it for him in San Francisco the last time she went to visit. It was one of his birthday presents. It was fun chasing him around taking these pictures of him wearing this adorable hat!

Mama making shirts

True must have at least 20 different monster shirts. as Oswald would say "OH MY GOSH! I love designing shirts for him. I dye his socks, onesies & stuff to all match. He never goes anywhere without getting noticed. He gets a lot of compliments. This is the only time I will ever have to make him anything I want & am enjoying it to the fullest. I made a couple for his friends too. They seem to be a hit! I made myself a couple shirts too. I love them. It helps me to relax and relieve all my stress. Because creating is so enjoyable to me.
